MEROSS MS605MAT-EU Smart Presence Sensor

The MEROSS MS605MAT-EU is an advanced presence sensor that uses triple-detection technology (mmWave radar, PIR, and light sensor) to provide precise motion and presence detection within a range of up to 6 meters. Thanks to Matter over Thread support, it operates quickly and reliably, and the lack of a need for an additional Meross hub simplifies installation. Its compact design measuring 77 × 35 × 48.5 mm, battery power, and IP67 rating make the device suitable for various conditions—both indoors and outdoors.

Precise detection thanks to a triple sensor system

The combination of a 24 GHz mmWave radar, a PIR sensor, and a light sensor allows for highly accurate presence detection—even with minimal movement. The low-power radar adapts to environmental conditions, ensuring quick responses and minimizing false alarms. The presence detection range is up to 4 meters, and the motion detection range is up to 6 meters, allowing for effective monitoring of rooms of various sizes.

Matter over Thread connectivity and broad compatibility

The device communicates using Thread technology, ensuring stable and energy-efficient operation. A compatible Thread Border Router is required for integration with platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, or SmartThings. The sensor works with devices such as the HomePod Mini, Apple TV 4K, Google Nest Hub, and Echo devices, allowing you to easily integrate it into your existing smart home system.

Advanced personalization and zone control

The feature to divide the space into 7 zones allows you to precisely define the sensor’s operating area and eliminate unwanted detections, such as from fans or plants. Additionally, you can create virtual sensors within a single device, which significantly expands automation capabilities. Depending on the platform, various features are available—for example, Apple Home enables automations based on presence and light intensity, allowing for the creation of more advanced operation scenarios.

Long battery life and environmental resistance

The sensor is powered by a CR123A battery, which provides up to 36 months of operation without needing replacement. The housing meets the IP67 standard, meaning it is fully dust- and water-resistant, and the operating temperature range of -20°C to 60°C allows for use in demanding environments. The "Do Not Disturb" mode allows you to turn off the LED and low-battery notifications, which is particularly useful at night.

Simple setup and convenient operation

The pairing process is intuitive and takes place via the Meross app—simply scan the QR code and connect the device to your chosen platform. The LED indicates operating status, and the built-in button allows for quick setup. Thanks to Bluetooth support, the initial connection process is smooth and hassle-free.
