Learn how to carve your own salad servers in time for summer.

You will learn about knife safety, grain direction, and different knife cuts to carve out your servers.

By the end of the workshop you will have taken two spoon blanks and created a beautiful set of salad servers ready to use.

Workshop Includes

• Server blanks, shaped and ready to turn into some servers
• Use of tools 
• Your finished salad servers to take home
• Wood Balm to use on your wooden spoons and boards at home.

What to wear

• Closed in shoes
• Clothes you don't mind getting dirty, or an apron to protect your clothes.

Please Note:

• To book for anyone under 16 years old, please contact Catie to discuss. An adult will also need to book in to accompany the child.
• Workshops require a minimum of 4 participants to go ahead.

Safety note:

Our tools are sharp and you may cut yourself. we provide band aids for those times when you might cut yourself with our knives. We provide a thorough safety talk before we start carving, please remain mindful at all times during your class.

When you book a wood carving workshop with Black Wattle Woodshop, you understand that using hand tools like knives and gouges comes with some risk. We’ll guide you through safe techniques, but by joining the workshop you agree to take responsibility for your own safety and release Black Wattle Woodshop from any liability for injuries or accidents that may occur.

Cancellation Policy

Please do not attend this event if you are feeling unwell. If you cannot attend due to illness please email Black Wattle Woodshop as soon as you can. A full refund will be provided, or a reschedule without charge will be arranged if you cancel due to health issues 48 hours prior to the workshop date. If you cancel within 48 to 24 hours of the workshop date, you can transfer your booking to a friend or family member, or receive a 70% refund. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, or no shows will not receive a refund or be able to transfer to another date or person.
