Fenghuang Dancong Tea, one of the six major types of Oolong tea, is a traditional and historically renowned Chinese tea. The core production area is Wudong Mountain in Fenghuang Town, Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province.

Ya Shi Xiang, also known as Duck Shit Fragrance, originates from the original mother tree grown in Fengxi Ping, Fenghuang Town, Chao'an District, Chaozhou, at an altitude of 900 meters. In the 1920s, it was transplanted from the village of Lizai Ping at an altitude of over 1000 meters in Wudong Mountain, Chaozhou. The name is related to the soil of the newly introduced tea garden, known locally as 'duck shit soil,' a type of fertile white clayey yellow soil rich in minerals. To keep the fragrance hidden and prevent theft, farmers intentionally gave it the name 'Duck Shit Fragrance.' The tea plants were eventually grafted and expanded in the Fenghuang Town area.

The main production area is the southeast slope of Fenghuang Mountain in the northeast of Chaozhou, with distribution in Wudong Mountain, Wupi Mountain, Zhugan Mountain, Dazhi Mountain, Wanfeng Mountain, Shuangpi Mountain, and other areas above 500 meters in altitude. In 2014, after various appraisals, farmers and experts believed that the aroma produced during the brewing process resembled the fragrance of blooming honeysuckle. Consequently, 'Duck Shit Fragrance' was officially renamed 'Silver Flower Fragrance' Dancong."
