One Quilt. One Chance. One Story.

Sarmila Thapa Magar is a young mother. Her daughter goes to school. Her days at the Kokroma workshop are full — daily tasks, ongoing responsibilities, the rhythm of a working life balanced against the demands of family. When the quilt-making programme began, Sarmila was part of it. But time was short.

She made one quilt.

And it is gorgeous. A balance of design and colour that speaks quietly of her sensitivity as an artisan — the same care and attention she brings to every garment she makes, now expressed in a single, complete piece. It is the kind of quilt you look at and immediately know where it belongs: on a baby's bed, soft and warm and made with love by a mother who understands exactly what that means.

This is not a collection. There is no second design to choose from. There is one quilt, made by one woman, in the time she could find. When it's gone, it's gone.

Made entirely from scrap and offcut textiles rescued from the Kokroma studio — pre-washed, soft, and ready to use from day one.
