Spring/summer 1987 Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche asymmetrical dress with sash belt and neck tie. This elegant design has an air of exoticism and was a signature look of the designer during the high octane decade that was the 1980s.

The dress is made from a luxurious textured silk fabric in a vibrant fuchsia pink colour. The asymmetrical neckline adds a modern touch to the classic sheath silhouette and the belt cinches in the waist for a fitted look. The bottom hemline has an unusual bow feature that has the effect of balancing out the various looks which can be achieved with the two accessories. The neck scarf adds a touch of sophistication to the overall design but wear it how you want, our model decided it would make a fabulous headscarf! Labelled a French 38, we think it runs a tad smaller and is better suited to a UK 8 or US 4. All three pieces are in fabulous vintage condition - no issued noted.
