ROTI^®Prep DNA & RNA was developed to isolate both DNA and RNA separately from only one sample.The isolation is based on the lysis of a starting sample, the lysate of which is first filtered through a centrifugation column, to the membrane of which the DNA is bound. The filtrate is then transferred to a second centrifugation column, which binds the RNA. The bound DNA and RNA are washed separately in the following steps and collected in separate reaction vessels at the end.
