About The Wine

The 2022 Chappellet Signature Cabernet Sauvignon is a luxurious and concentrated red wine from the prestigious Pritchard Hill of Napa Valley, known for its powerful yet balanced character. As Chappellet's flagship bottling, this vintage showcases the intense fruit and robust structure derived from its unique, high-elevation hillside vineyards. The wine pours a beautifully dark garnet-purple and offers a complex bouquet of blackcurrant, dark cherry, and plum, interwoven with savory notes of cedar, mountain sage, toasted oak, and spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and supple, delivering rich flavors of ripe berries, cassis, and black currants, complemented by hints of chocolate, espresso, and herbs. The vintage's growing conditions—a wet winter followed by a moderate summer—resulted in a wine with finely integrated tannins, a seamless texture, and a long, resonant finish. While highly enjoyable now, the 2022 vintage is a deeply satisfying wine with significant aging potential.
