This 1:48 scale diecast model represents the North American P-51D Mustang “Jumpin Jacques,” flown in 1945 with the Fifth Air Force. Originally formed as the Far East Air Force in 1941, the unit saw its first combat just hours after Pearl Harbor, defending against Japanese attacks in the Philippines. Despite heavy losses, it supported Allied retreats to Australia and later spearheaded General MacArthur’s island-hopping campaign across the Pacific.
Diecast construction with authentic details. Model comes pre-assembled with accessories and ready to display.
