Trippen has been experimenting with knitting recycled materials in their quest for ever-more environmentally friendly footwear. These uppers are knit from a synthetic that combines 70 percent recycled water bottles and 30 percent ocean plastic; the ankle straps are knit from the same material. The three-dimensional pattern was mapped in visible patterns. It's attached to a recycled cork insole and recycled rubber sole. We find these are running a bit large; many of our in-store customers have opted to size down in this style when trying on.
