This black silk blouse is from the late 1800s or early 1900s. It is very detailed, with a pin tucked bodice and sleeves. Puffed sleeves have long cuffs and balloon out dramatically just above. Known as Leg 'o Mutton sleeves. Lined with polished cotton. Interior vertical waist bodice boning as shown. Fullness in the front center, above the waist. Slightly pointed waist. The blouse has several hidden hooks and eyes, both on the silk fabric and on the cotton lining, as shown. There is a white eyelet collar attaching with a button hole to the top button on the blouse.

It's in very good condition especially considering the age. There are a few small holes scattered about, but hard to see because of the black lining underneath.
