Fantastic 1950s box purse with white lucite top that has a hand painted scene. The scene depicts couples enjoying a gondola ride with a minstrel providing entertainment. Rhinestones embellish the edge of the gondola. The clasp is shaped kind of like a shoe horn. The box part of the purse is covered with a creamy white rope effect that’s been painted. There is some discoloration on the paint here snd there as shown. The bottom is wood. There are three metal feet - one is missing. The interior is lined with a turquoise quilted fabric. The purse measures 10” x 5” on top and stands 4. 5” tall. Handle drop is 5”.
