Parker-Czerwinski 92 Punkte: Always among the top Saint Perays, this year the 2016 Saint Peray Fleur de Crussol was edged out by its stablemate. It's still a classic, boasting lovely aromas of toasted marshmallow, ripe melon and tangerine. Medium to full-bodied, this barrel-fermented Marsanne shows wonderful structure, focused richness and a long, long finish. Elegant and fine, it may outlive its flashier sibling but should still be consumed over the next 4-5 years.

James Suckling 91 Punkte: Bright and composed with some handy, savory complexity, delivered across melon, pears and white peaches. The palate is smooth, gently grippy and chalky. Really neat, lingering, fresh fruit. Drink now.

Galloni 94 Punkte: Limpid yellow-gold. Pungent, mineral-laced Meyer lemon, candied pear and saffron aromas show excellent clarity and complicating anise and floral nuances. Minerally and precise on the palate, offering deeply concentrated yet lively pear, lemon curd and toasted grain flavors and a subtle honeysuckle flourish that builds as the wine opens up. Shows outstanding energy and delineation on the finish, which emphatically echoes the mineral and floral notes.

Jeb Dunnuck 93 Punkte: Moving to the whites from bottle, the 2016 Saint-Péray Fleur De Russol showed brilliantly, with beautiful stone fruits, spice, toasted almond, and hints of minerality. This medium to full-bodied Marsanne has a layered, ripe yet elegant style, terrific fruit, and a great finish. Drink it over the coming 4-5 years.
