This compact converter enables seamless integration between modern single cable 12G SDI infrastructures and legacy Quad Link SDI systems. It has been designed to maintain full Ultra HD quality while offering the flexibility required in broadcast control rooms, production stages and large scale display environments. Its ability to translate a high bandwidth signal into four synchronized 3G SDI outputs makes it the ideal tool for connecting newer devices to existing multi cable systems without compromising image fidelity or workflow stability. The unit also includes a dedicated 12G SDI loop output that allows the original signal to pass downstream while the converter handles distribution, ensuring no loss of routing options or signal paths.
The design accommodates both traditional 3G SDI Level A and Level B equipment, providing broad compatibility across Ultra HD and HD broadcast infrastructures. This makes the device suitable for mixed environments where equipment from different generations must be combined. Its internal processing automatically detects incoming formats across SD, HD, 2K and 4K resolutions, adapting the output accordingly without user intervention. This allows operators to maintain focus on production rather than configuration, which is particularly beneficial in fast paced environments such as live broadcast and OB vehicles.
One of its most versatile features is the ability to divide an Ultra HD signal into four separate HD signals. These individual outputs can drive multiple standard HD displays, making it possible to build cost effective Ultra HD video walls using readily available monitors. With stable reclocking on all outputs, long cable runs and complex routing topologies remain fully reliable. Embedded audio with support for sixteen channels is maintained throughout conversion, ensuring that multichannel soundtracks travel cleanly through the system.
Control and configuration can be performed through USB or Ethernet using the dedicated software utility. For installations requiring hands on adjustments or real time visibility, an optional front mounted smart panel adds an LCD display, a rotary selector and menu controls.
