This graceful, classic evening dress was designed by Giorgio Armani in 2004 for his luxury ready to wear line. Drawing on Armani house signatures of intricately detailed eveningwear and cerebral draping, this strapless dress is tailored from metallic-streaked chiffon spotted with painterly monochrome polka-dots. The strapless top contains a thick corset and is boned all the way round. Cut to a sweetheart neckline, the bust is adorned with rich black silk-satin and finished with a floppy bow in the centre. The body of the dress is stunning; tiered and trimmed with ruffles, it kicks out and swishes around the wearer as they walk. This dress is secured under the arm with a hidden tonal black zip. It is lined with a tiered skirt in matte black silk.

This elegant gown is in excellent vintage condition with no flaws of any note. The sheer polka-dot outer fabric is 80% silk, 20% nylon due to the metallic threads. The bust is satin made from 100% silk and it is fully lined in 100% silk. The size on the label states that this is an Italian size 40, which roughly corresponds to a UK 8-10 or US 4 and this fairly true to size. Our model is a UK 8-10 and 5ft 11in (180 cm) and this dress fit her well.
